Like me, you may have heard many times before how powerful words are and to choose your words carefully. I’ve seen the images of the water crystals of Dr. Masuru Emoto’s research, however, it isn’t until I conducted my own experiments that I really GOT how powerful our words are.
I recently read the book e2 by Pam Grout: 9 experiments to prove your thoughts create your reality. One of the experiments was to plant two rows of seeds and say nice things to one row, and mean things to the other row and watch what happens.
Last week I planted two egg cartons full of seeds. One with a happy face on it, that I showered with compliments and words of encouragement. And on the other one, I put a sad face on the carton, and chastised the seeds for not growing fast enough. Yesterday I took this picture. You will notice that the plants on the left are doing better — that’s the happy plant group. There are now 10 plants that have started to grow in the happy tray. Compared to only 5 plants on the unhappy plant tray.
I shared my results on Facebook, and I was astonished with the feedback. Other friends have conducted this experiment too. One friend even added a third plant group, which she simply watered and had in the sun, but did not pay any other attention to it. That group grew even more slowly than the group that was given the bad vibes.
So, if this is how plants react to the energy we put out, consider how other souls, including people we love, react to our words. It also makes me consider how our words create our reality.
If we say things are difficult, the harder it will be. The more we focus on “I am” , “I can” and “I believe”, the more positivity and momentum we will build in our lives compared to phrases like ” I can’t”, “I won’t” or “I can try,”
Pick one hour of your day today and take notice of the language you use. Can you see how the words you select impact the reality that comes to life around you?
