Soul searching means different things to different people. I think the common thread you will discover is that it is an inward journey to discovering what is true for you and how you can live a fulfilling life.
It’s about asking questions that you can only truly give the answer to. You can take into account what others think, consider many philosophies, cultures, religions…whatever you are drawn to. Or not. You can simply approach life as a child and ask the question why in a gentle and innocent way. Ask the people around you why, ask the universe why, ask the trees why. And when you hear an answer, put it through your own personal “truth detector“, your inner guidance system, to decide if that feels like what is true for you.
Soul searching comes in so many different forms. It shows up for people in a cancer diagnosis. And for others, it appears when you decide that you are no longer happy in your current relationship. And others still, it can come into your life through the loss of a loved one. And in that moment you realize just how precious life is and you want to make sure that you get all the juiciness out of your life possible.
