Reason’s to Love
Valentine’s is in the air. You can almost feel the flutter of cupid’s wings fluttering by. In the stores you are surrounded by hearts and what the stores are promoting as love aphrodisiac, chocolate.
Valentine’s Day is traditionally focused on romantic love, but I like to think that this year people may be starting to feel the urges of a greater love, that is even more powerful and far reaching. Simply being love- loving and accepting yourself and others as you are. Now, if you’re not feeling it, you may be asking why? Why would I want to love EVERYONE…. well, there are many reasons to Love.
It feels good for you and the recipient.
It spreads positive energy throughout the universe. Just as you can feel tense energy in a room if you walk into a space where people have been arguing, love between people can be felt in the room too. In fact that love can have a rippling effect out into the universe too.
Love evolves the human race. My perspective of humanity is that a lot of us have become so disconnected and caught up in our lives that we forget about who we are at our very essence. Think of someone like Ghandi or Saint Mother Teresa- they were wonderful examples of love. And living their existence as a stand for love, they touched and inspired many, many people and created peaceful change in the world. We all have that greatness inside of us, and as we live more and more of our lives from that place, things start to flow more easily. And we begin to effect positive changes in others.
Love cures dis-ease. If you consider the word dis-ease as not being at ease, or not in a state of ease in grace, thus causing blockages in your body which then manifest as an illness; then if living from a place of love is the state of living with ease and grace it is easy to see how love can cure disease. Now, if an individual has been living a life of uneasiness for many years, it’s going to take some time to undo that work, much like a rope that has been badly tangled. But with patience, dedication and a lot of perseverance, one can succeed. Sometimes you need a little help from others along the way, be it friends and family to lift you up, or health professionals to help shift the health issue more quickly, in the end of loving, positive and forgiving attitude will help cure and shift any ailment. At least, this is what I believe in my heart.
Love cures humanity of the power of fear. My perception of fear is that it is the absence of love. Love supports courage, bravery, possibility and trust. Fear feeds on scarcity, lack, cowardice and doubt. The more love there is in the world, the more we can accomplish great things for the greater good of mankind and mother earth. This is not about a particular race, culture, religion or area of the world. This is about all of humanity realizing that we are fundamentally the same, all worthy of love, freedom and hope. It’s about creating a sustainable world that benefits all that live here, human, animal plant, insect, whatever. We live in harmony as was intended and without fear of what is or isn’t, or what may come, or what is lacking. When we live from a place of love, we are living fearless lives that can create great possibilities for humanity, that benefits all.
Fear cannot exist with love.
Being love for yourself and others is the key to moving forward. With loving support, there is nothing to fear.
