Do you have a dream in your heart that is sitting there, waiting to come to life? Is it something personal, professional, or worldly that has been sitting in the wings, waiting to be called into being? Whatever it is, start walking towards it. It doesn’t matter if you’ve had a dream of creating an invention or travelling the world, I’m going to share with you how to pursue a dream, any dream in four simple steps.
You may be asking “how can the same steps to pursue a dream apply to every dream?” Easy, I say, because all dreams are made up of the same type of energy. Think of a carrot dangling on a stick in front of a donkey, motivating him to go further, enticing him to follow his dream of having that carrot. Each dream is the same thing.
It is simply a motivator, an idea brought forth by something deep in your heart and soul, urging to you step out of your comfort zone to do something bigger than your current experience. Here’s how to follow your dream:
Take a step towards your dream Regardless of what your dream is, take the first step. If you want to travel the world, then create a bank account to start saving up. Have a folder on your computer where you start to store research about destinations you’d like to consider along the way.
As you start to take action, you let the universe know you are ready for this to come into your life.
Trust that everything is working out in the perfect timing. Rome wasn’t built in a day and big dreams take time to come together too. Keep trusting that everything is working out. Let your dream shift and shape into the beautiful experience that it was meant to be. Don’t keep it limited to turning out a specific way, know that the universe can see more amazing possibilities for what can unfold that you could ever dream of.
If your dream is to build your own home, and perhaps delay upon delay has you questioning whether or not it is meant to happen, consider that perhaps what appears to be a delay actually ends up being a short-cut because it saved you from faulty material, or you were able to save money by finding an alternative supplier.
Know that the universe has your back.
Reach out a little further This is repeating step one, but going a little further. So, if France is one of your destinations on your round the world vacation, then enrol in French classes and put yourself in environments where you can speak French. It’s about starting to live little parts of your dream now, by stepping out of your comfort zone a little more.
Share your dream This is like rocket fuel for your desire. Speaking about it, tuning into it and being present to it, brings it to life faster. You never know who you could be sharing your dream with with. If your dream is to swim with sharks, perhaps the listener’s cousin is a marine biologist who knows someone doing shark research. Sharing your dream keeps your vibe in tune with the energy of your dream, so you can notice synchronicities and opportunities to make your dream happen sooner.
Sharing your dream also welcomes in co-conspirers to help it come to reality faster, PLUS, it inspires others to also pursue their dreams.
It takes courage to follow these four steps. There are so many people who keep their dreams locked up in their heart because they think other people will laugh at them, or they question whether or not they could really do it. Don’t let your dream die. Have the courage to bring it to life, whatever it is. And trust that if it is in your heart, then the ability for it to come to life is there waiting to be discovered by you.
