Yesterday’s intense Solar Eclipse opened up a powerhouse of energy (actually, it had been building for weeks before hand). Today an astrologer colleague of mine talked about how the Eclipse has provided the perfect environment for a Spiritual Reboot. An easy time to let go of what’s not serving you and step into something bigger and better: Your Truth.
You may be wondering what a Spiritual Reboot is, or more specifically how to know when you are ready for one. The easiest way to explain by looking at an example of when you need to reboot your computer, and how that mirrors how you may be feeling.
Computer: It takes so long to boot up, when you turn it on. You: You take a long time to get up and out of bed.
You may notice that you just don’t want to get out of bed in the morning. You wake up and think about getting up, but then have a bunch of reasons why you should just stay in bed a little while longer.
Unfortunately, with getting up later, you lose your precious time for your morning practice, because you need to get moving with your day. That’s ok though- you’ll just do your practice later right?!
Computer: It seems to take forever to start any new programs: You: It’s hard to get motivated to actually start any new projects or initiatives
When you go to open a new program, it takes forever to load. You even have enough time to go and get a cup of tea and come back before your computer is ready.
In your life, you may notice that it’s harder to get motivated to start new projects that you want to get going on. There just seems to be lots of obstacles, or you don’t have the get up and go to get started.
You get frustrated because you can’t seem to get anything done.
Computer: You screen freezes and becomes unresponsive. You: You feel overwhelmed with so much going on and you just don’t know what to do next.
There are so many demands on your limited resources, and you are overloaded. It may feel like a panic attack or anxiety attack.
Computer: It won’t switch between programs properly, taking time to catch up. You: You can’t focus switching from task to task.
It’s kind of like when you go into a room for something and then you can’t remember why you are there, but worse.
Your lack of motivation and lack of focus becomes frustrating and spills over into your relationships as you snap at people you care about.
Computer: Your computer crashes, right in the middle of an important document. You: It’s a big day with lots planned, and you just don’t feel well, you crash.
When you are overloaded, your body will simply get to a point where it says STOP!
You’ll feel unwell, or could have another sort of crash that will make it so you have to stop and take a step back.
Overall in your life, when you need a Spiritual Reboot, you may feel low, like the magic of synchronicity has disappeared. There is this energetic cloud over you. It seems to take longer to do things and you just aren’t motivated. You’re going through the motions of life instead of enjoying it deliciously.
The common element in whatever it is you choose to do to begin your Spiritual Reboot, is that you declare that you are committed to You and being the best version of you possible. Making that declaration and taking the first step is what will start the rebooting process for you.
