Making decisions can take a lot of time and energy if you are not confident in the choices you are making. The stress and distraction can way heavy on you and even end up costing you money. I know i used to agonize over event the simplest decisions, worried I would make the wrong choice. It doesn’t have to be that way though. I discovered three tips to help me make better decisions more easily.
The average person makes 35,000 conscious decisions each day. So many of them we do automatically, like getting out of bed to start the day, or choosing what route to take to work. We also need to make some other choices throughout out day related to our personal and professional lives. Some decisions are not life threatening, and likely won’t even matter in a week, but we can still invest so much time and energy over making the perfect choice.
I once sat for about 15 minutes struggling to make the decision of whether to paint a narrow 2 ft by 4″ strip of wall above my kitchen sink white like the ceiling or blue like the wall. As I remember that moment, I can feel the anxiety of not wanting to make a bad decision, and not wanting people to judge me for my choice.
Now I can breeze through decisions with ease. Some bigger choices may need a little more time, but it’s not stressful, it’s different. It’s like taking a pause, so there isn’t the same pressure.
Here are the strategies I use to help me make decisions:
Feel Good
I really believe that to make good decisions, we need to be in a good feeling place. It makes a world of difference. If you try to make a decision when you are stressed out, you will often reflect on the situation and see it differently wishing you had made a different choice.
Meditate on It
Meditation is a great way to get to that feel good place to be calm enough to make the decision. Even taking a couple of breaths can be helpful too, especially if you are not familiar with Meditation. This is also a great way to become detached from the outcome of the situation which helps you to see everything more clearly.
Dowse to get Guidance from Your Soul/ the Universe
Dowsing is using a tool like a pendulum to get insight into situations and to help you navigate through period of your life. You can ask a series of Yes/No questions, and with a Ray Chart you can ask very specific question. Your questions can be about anything from what is the best thing for you to take to help you get over a cold, to whether or not it is a good investment to participate in a particular trade show, or if it is a better investment of your time and money to stay in the office.
The benefits of feeling good, meditation and dowsing is that all of these approaches help you to develop your intuition. The more you practice these approaches, the more heighten your intuition gets. Then you simply start to just KNOW the answers, right when you are presented with the question.
