I’m in my 60’s and I had a successful business that I’ve left. I got inspired to create a new business that I intended to work at just part-time and have lots of time for me- I wanted to semi-retire. The trouble is there is great need for my business and I’m working 40+ hours per week. Part of me is ready to retire, yet I also feel committed to supporting my growing client base. I truly believe in my service. When is the right time to retire?
Signed, Ready to Retire
Dear Ready to Retire,
Wow! I can feel that the new business is of great service to the industry you are in. Honestly, it feels like you spend the next year or so, continuing to build the foundation for your business, with the right systems and employees. And then the following year, you start to slowly step away from your business, confidently. If feels like the best time/right time for you to retire is in about 3 years.
With love, from your Soul
